This Book!

I had no idea what trouble I’d be getting into upon the arrival of this.  What could it be?

But…little did I know once I started reading, I wouldn’t be able to put it down.

I couldn’t cook! (well, I can’t anyway, but you see what I mean)

I. Just. Couldn’t. Put. It. Down.  It was so good!

(Yeah.  I know.  They say texting and driving is dangerous, but I had one eye on the road, I promise.)

I told Averil once I finished the book that she had not wasted not one single word.  Not one.  Her writing is tight, crisp, full of description and feeling, which puts you right there with her characters.  ALICE CLOSE YOUR EYES is a psychological thriller and was published December 31 2013 by Harlequin MIRA.  I’ve come to know Averil through her blog, where she writes as eloquently and passionately as this story she’s crafted so well.  You can find her blog here.

The book has received good reviews (although I think mine is right on up there 🙂 ) from Kirkus, Zola,  and Romantic Times, to name a few.  But, if you just want to know more about how this writer “ticks,” you can delve into the interviews located on her blog, (post called Show And Tell) where she gives candid and witty answers to questions from a few fellow writers who also hang out there on her site.

So Why are you still sitting there?  Go buy the book!
