Donna Everhart

Winner of Free Book Friday!

Hello readers,

This week’s question involved the complexities of the work environment. Baker, as the superintendent at the Colony, oversees all staff, but given their own expertise, personalities and career aspirations, her relationships with them are challenging. I mentioned I’d worked in a corporate job for thirty-five years and it was very difficult at times given my own interactions with peers, subordinates and higher ups. Through the years there was jealousy, competitiveness and once I became a manager, sometimes out and out disrespect. There were mostly good days, but the bad days were BAD.

This was the question this week:

If you worked outside the home, did you have a relationship with someone at work that was challenging? What was it about that individual that made your work life difficult or complicated?

The winner of this week’s signed ARC – Susan Roberts! Susan, I know you’ve already read an Advance Reader Copy, (through NetGalley, maybe?) but I thought you might want a signed copy! Congratulations!
